Peace, Tranquility, and Meditation

Life can be hectic. It can become so easy to get wrapped up in the chaos that we find ourselves feeling unhappy, stressed out, and totally overwhelmed. Sometimes we just need to take time away from it all to rejuvenate our bodies and to clear our minds. An amazing way to do that is with meditation. Meditation is a way for you to find balance, inner peace, and it will help you become reacquainted with the positivity in your life.
How to meditate:

1). Set aside 10-15 minutes every day in a quiet space (somewhere you will not be interrupted).

2). Find a position that is comfortable for you: such as cross legged, or you can even sit in a chair. Whatever you decide on, make sure you have good posture.

3). Light a candle, or defuse the room with some essential oils. Make sure you create a healing and calm environment for yourself.

4). Make sure to relax your body and your mind, let go of the stress 

5). Focus on your breathing and drift off into deep relaxation….let thoughts come and go, try not to focus on anything at all.

For beginners, don’t get frustrated if your mind becomes easily distracted. Take deep, long breathes. Focus on the love and positivity in your life. Let go of any issues or things that have been bothering you. When you focus on what you do have and all of the things you are thankful for, you will find a greater sense of gratitude and inner peace. Try this for a week and see how you feel. Meditation can lead to a more focused, happy, and peaceful you.

  • Helpful Tips

    Hydrate! Drink plenty of water before class

    Wear cool, comfortable clothing such as biking or running shorts and fitted tank tops or sports bras.

    Don't take class on a full stomach. Eat a light snack, if needed, before class, but nothing too heavy.

    Come at least 20 minutes early before your first class for registration.

    Don't be nervous. Most new students feel a little intimidated, but after only a few classes you'll feel right at home.
