10 Inspiring Habits
Spring is here and with it blossoms a fresh start for each one of us. View this time as a rebirth of self and a clean slate to start anew. Now is the time to build new habits that will lead us closer to reaching our goal of a healthier and happier life! We have some simple inspirational tips that will help you on your way to a more well rounded lifestyle. We encourage you to try these steps, even if you only start adding one into your daily routine at a time. Slowly build your way towards all 10.
1). Wake up early. Give yourself some extra time in the mornings to meditate and begin your day.
2). Practice at least 1 hour of yoga everyday. You will feel strengthened, refreshed and it will give you a sense of balance, and peace. (You can sign up for daily classes on our website: http://bikramcle.com )
3). Drink at least 8 cups of water every day. It’s so important to keep your body happy and hydrated!
4). Eat healthy whole foods. Your body craves raw and organic nourishment. Make sure you are sticking to a well rounded, wholesome diet.
5). Take short mental breaks through your day. Feeling overwhelmed at work or from the kids? Take a minute to yourself to step back. Collect your thoughts, take 5-10 deep breaths, and find your inner peace.
6). Get enough sleep. Be sure to give your body the recommended 8 hours of sleep a night. When you are well rested, you will have more energy throughout the day.
7). Create a sacred space within your home. A mini “retreat” where you can escape the distractions of life. Practice stretching and meditation in this space.
8). Force yourself to smile! Eventually your body will catch up and it will cause you to actually be in a good mood :)
9). Focus on the good. It’s easy to get caught up in all of the negativity and craziness that life throws our way. No matter what, try to focus on all of the love and positivity in your life. A heart of gratitude will lead to true happiness.
10.) Relax. Take some deep breaths and understand that everything will, in fact, be ok.
