Your immune system, like any other functioning part of your body needs adequate attention and care in order to work properly. It’s easy to fall into the cycle of eating poorly, not getting enough sleep, getting stressed out and then…viola, just like that you’ve gotten sick…again. So, we’ve come up with some basic natural ways to help boost your immune system naturally to keep you happy and healthy!
1). Healthy food is the key
Your diet plays an enormous role in the overall strength and health of your immune system. Providing your body with healthy, organic, and nutrient rich food will help to boost your system and keep those germs at bay. One way to do that is to consume foods that are rich in: vitamin C, A, B6, D, Iron, Folate/folic acid and zinc. Concentrate on creating a well rounded diet for yourself including plenty of dark leafy greens, nuts, seeds, whole grains and legumes. Look for those vitamin rich veggies, the darker the better: kale, collards, spinach, turnip greens, swiss-chard, broccoli, mustard greens, red and green romaine lettuce and make sure you consume enough lean protein with : fish, skinless, white-meat poultry, low fat yogurt, beans, nuts. Your diet is essential to your overall health and well-being.

2.) Exercise 
Working out is one of the pillars to healthy living and it plays a crucial role in the functionality of your immune system. Regular exercise can help to protect you against a wide variety of issues and diseases, helps keep cholesterol down and promotes blood circulation. So get outside, take a daily walk or run, join and gym, or a yoga class. Start incorporating it into your daily routine and you will find that it becomes a wonderful outlet of mental and physical health!

3.)  Get a grip
Relax, folks. Take a deep breath (or ten) and stop stressing out.
We get it. Life can be hectic and impossibly difficult at times and we all can get overburdened by the pressures that come our way. The next time you’re feeling overwhelmed with stress or anxiety, take a step back from your current situation and state of mind. Ask yourself,”is this really worth getting this upset over?” Learn to step away, take a time out, clear your head, meditate, go for a walk, take a bath, do whatever it takes to destress yourself! You will find yourself feeling much more happy and level…also, your immune system will thank you later.

Try incorporating these 3 simple steps into your daily routine and you should find that you are well on your way to a more balance and healthy lifestyle.

    Hydrate! Drink plenty of water before class

    Wear cool, comfortable clothing such as biking or running shorts and fitted tank tops or sports bras.

    Don't take class on a full stomach. Eat a light snack, if needed, before class, but nothing too heavy.

    Come at least 20 minutes early before your first class for registration.

    Don't be nervous. Most new students feel a little intimidated, but after only a few classes you'll feel right at home.
